Coaches

NICK LEWIS, Varsity Head Coach: Coach Lewis is currently the Head Coach at Ralston Valley High School (RVHS) in Arvada, CO. He has been coaching since 2001 and has experience at 4 different high schools throughout the country: Chenango Forks in NY, WT Woodson in VA, Prairie View in CO, and now RVHS. As an assistant at WT Woodson, Coach Lewis won 4 straight Liberty District titles and one Northern Region championship. Prior to becoming a head coach at Prairie View HS in 2016, Coach Lewis has served as an Offensive coordinator, Defensive coordinator, and JV Head Coach. In 2017, Coach Lewis led Prairie View to their first ever winning season in program history, and the Colorado High School Coaches Association voted to honor the team with the Ken Ranta Sportsmanship Award–as the team that most exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship. Coach Lewis played at Whitney Point High School where he won back-to-back conference championships and was named First Team All-Conference midfielder. Coach Lewis played 2 years of college lacrosse at Broome Community College and SUNY Oneonta where he graduated with a BS in Psychology. He has recently been accepted to the Master of Arts in Sports Coaching program in University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Coach Lewis coaches club lacrosse in the Denver metro area and runs a dog care business in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood.

STEVE ANNEST, Varsity Defensive Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning: Coach Annest is a science teacher at RVHS, grew up in Upstate NY and played for Vestal High School and NCAA Division III lacrosse at Ithaca College in NY. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management and a Master’s in Education. He is a strength and fitness fanatic, and he has two daughters who are NCAA Division I athletes. His eldest daughter, Ella, was a walk-on the Cal Women’s lacrosse team and is now a starter. His youngest daughter, Marianna, has committed to play soccer at Northwestern. Coach Annest has a passion for purposeful and appropriate strength and conditioning for young athletes. He leads the development, evaluations, and general oversight of our off-season and in-season strength and conditioning programs.

CODY LEFEVRE, Varsity Assistant and Box Coach: Coach Lefevre was a three-year starter for Hillsborough High School (class of 2011) in New Jersey, where he was first team all-state his senior year and was a part of the team with the most wins in school history. He went on to Ursinus College where he was a 4-year starter on defense and was a part of the first NCAA tournament appearance in school history. Coach Lefevre graduated with a degree in business and economics. This is his third year coaching high school lacrosse. He was the head coach for freshman lacrosse and assistant varsity at his former high school in 2016 and was an assistant for Coach Lewis at Prairie View High School in 2017. Coach Lefevre is a substitute teacher in Boulder Valley School District, is working on his master’s in education at the University of Northern Colorado, and recently became a certified personal trainer.

WILL DOMMERMUTH, JV Head Coach: Coach Will played three years of varsity lacrosse at Littleton High School. He was selected as an All-Conference Attackman in 2011 and an All-Conference Midfielder in 2012. Will went on to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Hope College. He was selected as an All-Conference Defensive-Midfielder in 2015 and served as a team captain in 2016. Will started his coaching career in 2017 at Pine Creek High School (Colorado Springs, CO) where he coached two seasons of level 3 lacrosse. Currently, Will works as a guest teacher for Jeffco Public Schools and is looking forward to coaching Ralston Valleys JV Team.

McGeary, Level 3 Head Coach: Coach McGeary was a four year starter at Emmaus High School (class of 2011) in Pennsylvania, where he was part of the most successful teams to ever play at the school, and served as a captain during his senior year. While he attended Pennsylvania State University, he played 1 1/2 years of club lacrosse, before making the decision to let academics take over. Coach McGeary graduated in 2015 with a bachelors of science degree in Chemical Engineering. This is his first year coaching lacrosse, and he is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with the growing Ralston Valley lacrosse community, and is very excited for the season to come.

JAKE HARKINS, JV/L3 Assistant Coach: Coach Jake was born and raised in Maryland where he was a four-year starter and two-time captain for the Northern Maryland FCA Varsity Lacrosse Club competing with the MIAA C Conference. He went on to play NCAA Division III lacrosse as a midfielder and face-off specialist for Messiah College in Pennsylvania. Jake decided to forgo his final two years of lacrosse at Messiah in order to focus on academics. Coach Jake is a consultant for IBM. He is very passionate about passing on the game of lacrosse and excited to be a part of the Mustang Lacrosse Family.

SEAN CLIFFORD, JV/L3 Assistant Coach: Coach Clifford played midfield and attack at Glenelg High School in Maryland, where he was a part of the undefeated 05/06 JV team, the undefeated state championship team in 2007, a state semi-finalist team in 08/09, and a second appearance at the state championship game in 2010.  He then went to Old Dominion University in VA, where he played club lacrosse as a freshman captain before transferring back in state to Salisbury University. Coach Clifford graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Salisbury University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Denver. This will be Coach Clifford’s 2nd year coaching lacrosse. He formerly was an offensive assistant coach with the Storm Lacrosse program last year.
